Well just to keep,everyone up to date with our activities, the band have had a very busy summer period with walking days and carnivals, followed by an excellent concert last Sunday at St Leonard’s Church in Penwortham. We also performed at Brass Attack in July along with local school bands and Leyland band at Lostock Hall Academy. This has become a regular event and is very popular with the local community. We are now busy rehearsing for our first contest of the season which is at Rochdale in October. Prior to that we are opening a new memorial in Farington next Sunday in memory of those who lost their lives in WW1.   I hope this keeps everyone interested in what’s going on at LHMB, however we are still short of a couple of cornets and basses to complete our ranks.
