The band have been working hard over the last few weeks in preparation for the first contest of the season. Sunday 29 September – the Fleetwood Open. Phil Edwards, our Solo Euph player has stepped into the MD shoes pending our appointment of a new MD during the next few weeks. During the prize presentation the Sarah Gardner Memorial trophy will be presented to the best horn player in the 3rd section. This is in memory of Sarah  who  tragically lost her life this summer. Sarah was Solo horn and Chair of the band. The band will be sporting purple ties on the day of contest and for the next twelve months to mark Sarah’s memory, She will be sadly missed.
