Following the previous news item we are once again visiting Blackpool for our annual visit next  Sunday 1st March to take part in the  National Brass Band Championships. We have been working hard over the last few weeks to prepare our piece of music called Evolution which is not an easy piece. We gave it a run out about three weeks ago at the Guild Hall, Preston and gained 3rd prize so fingers are all crossed for next Sunday. Should we be fortunate to come in the top three of 20 bands we will gain a place for the finals which are held in Cheltenham in September. It’s an early start on Sunday 8am from band room so let’s hope we get a good draw number and play to the best of our ability.Watch this space for more news next week.
